« Exceptional women for an exceptional product »

Tamaynoute, which means ‘the new one’ in Amazigh, is a women’s cooperative founded in 2004. Located in the village of Azrarague, in the south of Morocco, in the Agadir region, it is at the heart of the argan-growing area, benefiting from the unique ecosystem of the argan trees. With over 70 women members, the cooperative is committed to producing 100% pure, cold-pressed argan oil, without the use of chemicals or additives, in order to preserve the
integrity of its nutritional and cosmetic properties. All stages of production comply strictly with organic production standards.

In 2007, the cooperative joined the Economic Interest Grouping (EIG Targanine) based in Agadir, which now includes five cooperatives active in the production and marketing of organic argan oil.
Over the years, Tamaynoute has acquired the know-how to diversify its production and expand its range of organic products. It now offers a wide range of vegetable oils, including prickly pear oil, sweet almond oil, black cumin oil, sesame oil and pumpkin seed oil.
The cooperative also promotes the region’s local products, in particular « Amlou » which is Almond butter with argan oil and honey, a traditional spread that has become one of its flagship products, much appreciated by its customers. At the same time, it markets a variety of honeys in collaboration with local beekeepers, helping to support them and promote their expertise.
Tamaynoute is now innovating with a new activity: the production and marketing of 90 % organic cosmetics, which are made from local raw materials.
